Mood: Miffed
I am not at all happy with Wil Wheaton's recent blog entry that mentions a homeless man at a Starbucks. Wil writes:
I'm a little pissed that the homeless guy is filling an entire corner of the place with the stink of greasy hair and dirt, and he's also in the most comfortable chair, in the corner that gets the best sun, where I was hoping to sit today.
Later in the entry, he dubs the homeless man "Stinky".
Questions for Wil:
1. Why shouldn't a homeless man have a little comfort, if only for a brief time? I would sacrifice a trivial bit of comfort for a homeless person any day.
2. Do you expect a homeless person to smell like roses? Sure, it may be unpleasant for you, but imagine it from his perspective.
3. Aren't liberals supposed to be for helping the poor and needy? What did you do to help this guy?
I normally enjoy Wil Wheaton's blog, but this was just immature... no, it was downright inhuman!

audio post powered by audblog
Your exhausted narrator, upon returning home, describes his day at school, the job interview at PC Club and the ongoing search for other job opportunities. Somehow, even as tired as I was when I did this audio post, I managed to speak coherently with few um's or uh's.

Possible Web Design Project
Mood: Hopeful
It is likely that I will be hired to redesign the web site for Kampf, Schiavone & Associates, a law office based in San Bernardino. Their Network Administrator wanted to set up a meeting with me, but I informed him that my rates are too low to require me to travel. He was really cool about it. So, I told him I would put together a rough layout for him to show his superiors. He said that would make their decision a lot easier.
After I told him my rates, it dawned on me that I could have gotten a lot more than I am going to be charging. (Their current site cost them $5,000!!!)
I'm going to rest for a bit, then get the layout sample completed. After that, I need to get some major editing done.
I have really missed Bella today. I can't wait to talk to her tonight!
