Here's a far too overdue update, in capsule form:
- Ever since I changed the name of my blog (remember "... if I were a bird I'd have something to say"?), I haven't been able to make audio posts. I really miss them. They're an easy way to keep you, the reader/listener, updated no matter where I am. I tried setting up a new account, and it still doesn't work. I suspect they are charging for their service now. But they never asked me for money. Oh well.
- I've been reading up on pond maintenance, after performing a not-so-thorough cleaning of said pond. I now have a better idea of what needs to be done. I did, however, sit and enjoy the running fountain for a few minutes this morning. But I decided it was about time for some sort of update on this blog.
- Moving of just about all of the big stuff is done. Now all that remains is hundreds of books, and many other odds and ends. I am in no rush; I'm spending a lot of time just enjoying being here. But that's not to say I haven't been getting things done.
- I've cleaned up the patio, gotten rid of a lot of empty boxes, even done some weeding in one of the two flower beds out front. Not to mention keeping up the apartment with daily tasks (e.g. trash, dishes, sweeping, etc.).
- Bella has been a huge help, even though she's not living here yet. We're already a great team, which bodes well for our future together.
- I am starting to feel inspiration for a song. Or, perhaps more of a desire. The inspiration will certainly come when I put fingers to (plastic) ivory. The new surroundings will have a huge impact on my music, I'm sure.
Well, that's about all of an update I have time for. There is so much more to write about. If only I could make an audio post....
