Packing with Bella

Mood: content

Bella came over tonight and helped me pack some more stuff. She did good work. She's better at such things than me.

We will get the keys to the apartment at 2PM. We were hoping for earlier, but the manager is letting me move in a day early as it is, so who are we to argue?

Installation of the refrigerator has been rescheduled for Saturday; Best Buy could only deliver it on Friday between 8 and 10AM. Seeing as we won't have access to the apartment that early, we were left with no alternative but to reschedule. Honestly, I don't have much that needs to be refrigerated anyway.

Well, I'm going to play a little bit of Day of Reckoning 2 before getting some sleep. Man, I love that game!

Phone Blues, Part 956

Mood: disgusted

(Have you ever noticed I only have about five or six moods when writing these blog entries? Hmmm.)

So MCI screwed up my move-of-services order, which is just now being processed. Mind you, I placed the order a week ago, and it should have been activated no more than a week from today. Instead, it's going to take their usual 10-15 days! As a result, when I move on the 24th, I am again going to be without Internet access. But, you know, something tells me I'm going to be too busy to post much anyway, so maybe it's not such a loss after all.

Until the move, I will try to post more "before" pics of the apartment. Then, after my phone service has been moved, I can post some "after" pics! Or, more likely, "during" pics. The move and settling in is going to be a long process, indeed.

Minor Setback

Mood: frustrated

There has been a minor setback with the wedding. Bella and I spent four hours at Target registering the other day, and the 34 items we added did not show up in our list. Bella had me call Target and they are currently researching the problem. If they can't track down the error, we will have to re-register for all of those items!

Put in perspective, this is certainly a minor setback, but one nonetheless. Time is going so fast now that we'd rather not waste time going back to redo something we thought we had taken care of. Hopefully we'll hear back with good news....
